Timing the Market
from Don Nalls,
The Nalls Sherbakoff Group, LLC.
It is not uncommon, especially during times of excessive market volatility that some investors feel the temptation to try and “time the market.” Certainly, readers of the Nalls Sherbakoff blog know that market timing is impossible, but as my profession and most of the major brokerage houses attempt to “sell” their ability to do it, investors are often confused. In this video, distributed by Dimensional Fund Investors, Tuck School of Business finance professor Ken French, addresses market timing. Professor French is the author of a distinguished body of academic work, which includes among other contributions, the Fama-French research that underpins how NSG invests your money.
